Who We Are

Duchess Media is a digital marketing and PR agency working with some of Bristol’s most exciting hospitality, events, and lifestyle brands. We’re on the lookout for an enthusiastic, food-and-drink-loving content creator and marketing manager to join our creative, close-knit team.


The Role

You’ll work across a range of client accounts, planning and producing content, managing social media channels, and supporting wider marketing campaigns. You’ll be comfortable shooting and editing content on your phone or DSLR, love writing captions and blogs that pack personality, and have your finger on the pulse of TikTok and Reels.

Key Summary

The Content and Social Media Executive at Duchess Media will play a key role in supporting the wider team and be responsible for planning and executing content shoots and managing the scheduling of designated social media accounts, as well as supporting wider collaborative projects. 


The role will focus mainly on creating content for our array of hospitality clients, covering everything from shot list planning and ideation to actually going on shoots to capture stills and video (predominantly on an iPhone but occasionally also on DSLR).

In addition to this, there is the social media side of things - from strategic planning to copywriting and scheduling, community management and reporting. 


Great content creation and copywriting skills are essential, as well as a good understanding of social media strategy. Paid advertising and event experience would be an added bonus!



Key Responsibilities


Content Creation

  • Plan and execute content shoots (photo/video) across client accounts

  • Capture high-quality content using mobile and DSLR equipment

  • Edit video content for Reels and TikToks using tools like CapCut and InShot

  • Manage and direct freelancers when required

  • Keep up with trends and formats across social media platforms


Social Media & Strategy

  • Create strategic monthly content calendars in line with each brand’s objectives

  • Schedule and publish posts across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook (and occasionally LinkedIn)

  • Write engaging, on-brand captions and blogs

  • Monitor social media conversations and engage with communities

  • Track and report on social media performance

  • Support organic audience growth in line with client KPIs


Client & Team Support

  • Attend planning meetings and feed into campaign strategies

  • Contribute to Duchess Media’s own marketing and socials

  • Support with event marketing campaigns and on-the-day content capture

  • Occasionally help deliver client events (some evenings/weekends required, with time off in lieu)



We’re Looking For


  • 1–2 years' experience in a content or social media role

  • Confident with photography/videography (mobile and DSLR)

  • Proficient with video editing apps (e.g., CapCut, InShot)

  • Strong copywriting and communication skills

  • A passion for hospitality, food, drink, and indie brands

  • Someone social-savvy, who gets excited by new trends and formats

  • Bonus: Experience with email newsletters, blogs, or event promotion

Hours: Full-time
